Some of our 2024
Workshops!
Body of Equinox with Julia Becker
A somatic movement and slow dance workshop, celebrating the Fall Equinox, and our ancestral & ongoing lineage of womanhood.
We will explore concepts of balance, horizon, axis, gravity, equanimity, fluidity, and shared movement as we align ourselves with earth and sky, and celebrate the coming of Autumn, the shifting and changing. In our Soul Motion journey we dive into the interior dance and witness and connect in the shared dance. We may explore concepts of earth, water, fire, air, and/or space, as well as the presence of the pause, the 360% horizon, and the ability to feel and respond through what we term, echo resonance.
This slow-motion dance invites all bodies to come explore within and celebrate all that arises. This is a somatic practice; we are interested in sensing and responding, inviting and allowing, finding the body's voice, and following. We invite Nature, our essential nature and the changing nature all around us, to inspire and inform us. We rest in our deep knowing bodies.
Julia is visual artist, yoga guide, and Soul Motion Embodied Leader and Teacher. She has decades of experience as a visual artist and educator, and in her personal practice and teaching of Yogic practices. The last ten+ years she has been exploring somatic movement inquiry with the practitioners and originators of Soul Motion, 5Rythmes, Tamalpa, Continuum, Azul, and other conscious movement/dance practices. In 2020 she earned her Soul Motion Embodied Leadership credentials, and in 2022, her Soul Motion Teacher Training credentials, and is excited to share with her Montana community.
